Results of 2025 for the Diia.Business center in Warsaw

The Diia.Business entrepreneur support center in Warsaw, opened on May 17th in 2022, became the network’s first foreign representative office and a key hub for Ukrainian business in the EU. The 2025 confirmed that the center is not just a consultation point, but a powerful platform for integration, where Ukrainian courage is transformed into successful international projects.

Ukrainians are actively investing in the Polish economy: as of June 2024, about 59 800 active Ukrainian sole proprietors (JDG) were registered in the country. Most often, entrepreneurs are interested in issues of double taxation, starting a business, exports, and scaling.

It is great that at the Diia.Business Center in Warsaw entrepreneurs can get answers to many questions for free and understand the next direction to move in. I have already had an initial consultation; afterward they send a roadmap with contacts and useful information. I will put it into practice.

Digital transformation and IT: from learning to implementation

Center places great emphasis on improving businesses’ technological literacy. Together with the Ukrainian IT company Genesis, the second IT School course was implemented, where participants worked on real projects — from market research to monetization strategies.

Another successful area was the online course «Fast Start in AI for Entrepreneurs» (speaker — Bohdan Shcherbakov), where 60 participants mastered process automation and AI tools.

Thank you for this course — it was very informative and extremely useful. I’m already applying all the knowledge I gained: I independently created a chatbot and actively use the speaker’s advice.

Support for exports and industry

For large and medium-sized businesses, two SGAI programs were implemented (in partnership with Bechtel.org, SEAF Autodesk, and with the support of the Caterpillar Foundation). These programs prepare Ukrainian companies in the EPC sector (engineering, procurement, construction) for international contracts.

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to the Diia.Business Center in Warsaw for the support. Particularly valuable is the networking that the team organizes through meetings with leading companies from the United States and Europe, opening opportunities for partnerships and the exchange of experience.

Dr. Oleksandr Solomakha (Director, MW-Engineering JDG)

Women’s entrepreneurship and adaptation

In 2025, a particularly important role was played by the collaboration with the EBRD, which engaged more than 350 participants in the Prohresiia educational program, individual consultations, networking events, and masterminds.

I’m glad that initiatives like the Diia.Business entrepreneur support center in Warsaw exist, as well as Ukrainian communities that organize events and, in this way, keep us together.

Thank you for creating such a community where you can meet wonderful people, learn useful information, and be part of an amazing atmosphere.

Story of success: When meetings turn into opportunities

The greatest value of the Center is its people. The partnership story of Tetiana Kozyrska (ALOTEK Technology) and Olena Oleksiienko (Lab-Consulting) has become a symbol of how Diia.Business connects professionals.

Both women left Ukraine because of the full-scale war, losing their familiar lives but preserving an immense wealth of experience. Tetiana is the head of a unique foundry plant that produces shape-memory alloys. Olena is a certification and technical regulation expert with 15 years of experience.

In business, people often say that success favors the prepared. But there is another important truth — success is born where there is genuine communication, trusting relationships, and meetings that open new opportunities.

This is exactly how the partnership between ALOTEK Technology and Lab-Consulting began — a partnership that today is growing into international projects and expansion into new markets. Its starting point was the Diia.Business Center in Warsaw — a space where they don’t just create events, but opportunities. My acquaintance with Diia.Business Warsaw began with a social media announcement about enrollment in the Business Booster program. That moment became a turning point: the program opened up a professional community for me that helps Ukrainian businesses grow under new conditions. I later attended other projects of the Center, and at one of them I met Olena Oleksiienko.

Olena and I found common ground instantly. Her deep understanding of technical regulations, expertise in certification, and strategic thinking became exactly the element our unique manufacturing needed to fully enter the European markets.

Tetiana Kozyrska (ALOTEK Technology)

When Tetiana started talking about her company, I realized that my knowledge and experience could help this business open the door to Europe: properly adapt technical documentation; build a certification strategy; prepare the company to meet European market requirements; and support international partnership projects.

Our cooperation became a logical continuation of two stories that began not with business, but with war, loss, and the need to rebuild our lives on a new foundation.

Today, our partnership includes joint international projects; development of technical documentation; preparation for certification and entry into new markets; and work with European standards and expert institutions.

This is a story about the power of meetings. About women who build businesses despite the war, create opportunities, and support one another. This partnership is a vivid example of how Diia.Business Warsaw connects people, businesses, and ideas, creating opportunities that are hard to imagine outside such an ecosystem.

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, PAIH, and the Polish Office of the Government Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, with the support of Mastercard and UKAID. The implementation of the programs also involves the EBRD, as well as Genesis, SEAF Abt Global, KSE, and the Empowerment Foundation.

The Diia.Business Center in Warsaw is a space where Ukrainian determination turns into European success.
